Wide-grip seated row

Men's Fitness Workouts - All-cable Back Workout

“For rows, if you use a straight bar, you can take a wider grip and get much more outer-lat development than you can with close-grip seated rows,” Lischin says. “You won’t be able to go quite as heavy as with close-grip, but the quality of the movement will be better because you can get your elbows back a bit further.”

Lean forward and grasp the bar with a palms-up or palms-in grip, maintaining a comfortable bend in the knees

As you pull back, straighten your upper body to vertical, but avoid leaning back farther. Pull the bar to your abdomen and concentrate on pulling your elbows back and feeling the contraction in the center of your back. Pause, slowly return to the starting position and repeat.
