Start in a bent forward position in front of bar, holding bar so that hands are at a position out side of thighs. Knees are only slightly bent, torso is bent forward at waist.
Pull on the bar using the combination of back and hip muscles to stand erect.
and then pull the shoulders up and back to contract the upper back muscles. Lower bar slowly to start position.
